Benefits Of Cardio First Thing In The Morning
Doing cardiovascular exercises are very important and have to be well timed when it comes to eliminating body fat. Whether it’s early morning, late evening; the most important thing is that you just do it. Consistency is the key when it comes to cardiovascular exercise, no matter if it’s running, walking, jogging, or elliptical, if it’s sustained for at least 30 minutes, you will burn body fat no matter when you do it.
For maximum benefits eliminating body fat, you should do cardiovascular exercises first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. By doing so, the major advantage is your body fat will be used and burned for energy because your body has burned all the calories you ate while you slept the night before. The benefit of doing early morning cardiovascular exercise before you eat is; your levels of muscle and liver glycogen; stored carbohydrates are at its low, which is the best time your body will use your fat to burn instead of carbohydrates.
For example, if you perform your cardiovascular exercise in the late evening after you have eaten 4 meals already consisting of carbohydrates and protein before you get to the gym, you will still burn fat but much less of it because you are burning off the carbohydrates you ate beforehand. Your body will always burn a combination of fat and carbohydrate for fuel but depending on when you exercise, you can burn more fat relative to carbohydrate when doing cardio first thing in the morning.
Make sure you are doing slow impact cardio such as: walking on the treadmill, elliptical or life cycle bike, while keeping your cardio sessions to only 30 minutes. Don’t try and go for long a duration because you will start burning muscle mass if your intensity is to high and you haven’t eaten. Remember, your body has no fuel to burn but your body fat for energy and you want to burn it slow for maximum results. Keep it in fat burning mode with you heart rate at 116-120 bpm.
The best benefit of doing cardio exercises first thing in the morning on an empty stomach is that you will not only burn fat during your session but you will continue to burn fat continuously throughout the day after the workout is done.

Hanuri is correct.
There's actually no evidence that fasted cardio results in more fat being utilized during exercise. It's a common misconception.

I was at a nutrition seminar and this guy was saying early cardio fasted can actually lead to fat not wanting to be removed if you are already low BF and have been low carbing a while. survival mode

I like to not do any cardio. I played ball the first time in years yesterday and I'm sore as shit.

IMO if you are chemically enhanced then your fatloss results would differ from someone who is not. Meaning fasted cardio will actually effectively burn fat. Your right though, most studies are in favor of HIIT not fasted. But I believe the test subjects were not on gear, so that changes the biochemistry.

I've done my own 20 year study which has shown if I eat a bannana or something very light in the AM about 30 min before an intense cardio workout. It results in an immediate, hard and fast kick in my metabolism rate for the majority of the day. When this routine is followed with proper nutrion, my energy level also stays steady all day long.
This may not be true for all other body types, but it has been tried and true for me.
You can find tons of contradictory studies on just about any subject you can imagine.......I'll follow my own research on this subject!

Very good advice.
